The AP Oxy3 Ozone Oxidation Filter is a Chemical Free Iron, Sulfur, Manganese filter producing a high level of oxidation potential. The AP Oxy3 is an economical way to remove these constituents from water without the use of messy and dangerous chemicals or expensive pumps, large retention tanks or an external venturi.
The AP Oxy3 valve uses patented construction in conjunction with an Ozone generator to create a bubble of O3 in the upper portion of the tank to oxidize any ferrous iron prior to being filtered by the catalytic media below. It can also be used to remove dissolved hydrogen sulfide and manganese from water.
How does the Aqua Pure H2O Oxy3 Ozone Oxidation Filter work?
An ozone generator produces ozone by passing oxygen or dry air through a high voltage electrical field or corona. The O2 bond is split, freeing oxygen atoms (O1) to repeatedly collide with O2 molecules to form O3, Ozone.The water then passes through a specifically tailored media bed designed per your water analysis.
The specially Tailored media can be modified to increase the pH of the water to enhance iron removal, Modified for greater H2S or Manganese removal and also acts as a physical barrier to trap iron precipitate and even sediment. Please send us a copy of your water analysis for custom media blends. Certain Blends will cost Extra.
Ozone has been proven to kill bacteria faster than chlorine, eliminating the need for traditional chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide or chlorine typically used to address iron and sulfate reducing bacteria. The Enhanced Oxidation Generator effectively disinfects the media bed and is safe for the environment including septic systems.
